Yearly Requirements - Are There Any On-going, Yearly Requirements of the Program?

Yes, there is a YEARLY REQUIREMENT of you from the USSF.

Every Official MUST Recertify with the USSF EVERY YEAR.  The Grade 9
USSF Recertification is held every November.

There is a Fee that MUST be paid to the USSF, which primarily covers your
USSF issued liability insurance policy.  For 2009, the USSF Grade 9 Recertification
Fee was $40.00.  You can expect this Fee may increase slightly each year.

You are also subject to taking the USSF Grade 9 written test each year, which you
MUST PASS in order to earn your new Badge.

Badges are issued for a CALENDAR YEAR and are good ONLY FOR THAT CALENDAR YEAR!
This means your Badge is good for the Spring and Fall seasons within 1 calendar year.
You are NOT permitted to officiate ANY game if you do NOT have your Badge OR you
have an outdated Badge.  Your Badge is like a driver's license.  It is VERY valuable to
you and must be treated like GOLD!

The Recertification does NOT require retaking the LISRA G9 Course!  It DOES require
retaking the test and passing it as well as completing the USSF Registration Form in
duplicate and paying the USSF Recertification Fee.
